The neighbourhood
Summer Lake is at the heart of the Cotswold Lakes – surrounded by activity lakes, trails, and spots to eat and unwind. You’re just across the road from South Cerney Outdoor, where you can hire kayaks, paddleboards or bikes, and grab coffee or street food lakeside. Spring Lake (with wakeboarding + more) is also a short stroll away. Or if you fancy a drive out, you can explore the likes of Cirencester, Bibury, Burford, Stow on the Wold and further.
Getting around
A car is ideal for exploring the surrounding villages and lakes. That said, Kemble Station (direct trains from London) is just 7 miles away, and the 51 bus runs from the end of the lane to Cirencester and Swindon. Once you arrive, walking and cycling are great ways to enjoy the peaceful landscape.
