That’s exactly what Beaver Brook Lodge is built for.
Set within Lower Mill Lakes and overlooking a quiet lily-pad pond, everything you need for a proper family break is right on your doorstep. The estate is genuinely a playground for all ages — toddlers can burn off energy in the indoor soft play, younger kids can hunt for frogs around the pond, teens can take out paddleboards, kayaks or bikes and actually have the run of the place, and grandparents can take a slower loop around the lakes or settle in with a book by the water. The lodge itself is built for real family life — the kind with different bedtimes, different appetites, and different ideas of a good morning. We’ve thought carefully about every age group: the lodge is exceptionally well equipped for babies and toddlers, with everything from cots and high chairs to a steriliser and baby monitor already waiting for you (see our full kit list on the Info page). Grandparents travelling with the family can take over the entire second floor — a private master bedroom with en-suite — so they have their own retreat to come back to whenever they need it. Parents get a balcony coffee in peace; kids get straight out the door into the estate.
Take your mornings slow, let the days unfold at everyone’s own pace, and let Lower Mill do the heavy lifting. This is the kind of break the whole family actually remembers — together.

Whether you’re planning a proper meal or just need a few extra bits, you won’t need to go far:

Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It’s the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.
South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.
Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.
