The town centre is about 5 minutes by car: independent shops, good cafés, traditional pubs and a regular market that’s been running for centuries. It’s the kind of place that rewards a slow morning wander.
South Cerney is a few minutes in the other direction, a well-established village with stone cottages, friendly local pubs and lanes that connect directly to the Cotswold Water Park. The Water Park spans over 180 lakes and is one of the best spots in the region for walking, cycling, paddleboarding and wild swimming.
Kemble Station is approximately 15 minutes away by car, with direct trains to London Paddington in around 80 minutes. That makes Ascot Cottage a practical choice for city-based groups, wedding guests travelling from further afield, and anyone wanting a proper break without a long drive.
