The High Street sweeps down towards the River Windrush, lined with honey-coloured stone buildings, independent shops and some of the best pubs and restaurants in the region, all within easy walking distance of The Old Pheasantry.

Cross the old bridge over the Windrush and the surrounding countryside opens up, with footpaths leading out towards the Cotswold villages beyond. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens sits just outside town, a popular day out for families and animal lovers alike.
